Fear Can Be Expelled With Knowledge and Faith.

Fear Can Be Expelled With Knowledge and Faith.

Knowledge is power they say, and I am here to affirm that it is true. You have power over anything that threatens your life. What is it that frightens you? Mention it and find possible solutions to it. It is good to know what you are against, only then will you defeat it.

Fear is in all of us but so does strength. Tap in your inner strength and drive out any form of fear that surrounds you. Renew your mind with faith, knowledge and positivity.

Dont give in to fear ; COVID-19 has created alot of fear in most us but I beseech you by the mercies of God not to feed the fear but find courage that lies with in to defeat the monster that threatensour very existence.

Follow the SOPs as stipulated; I encourage us to observe the SOPs that are put in place by the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization. Keep your mask on, sanitize, wash your hands and keep social distance from others. You life matters and the life of others matter too. Choose to protect yourself and your loved ones from COVID-19.

42 days of lockdown starts today; The president has announced a total lockdown starting today for 42 days which means that we shall all be at home except for essential workers. Don’t be discouraged and don’t allow fear to creep into your mind. We can win this if we fight back by following the rules and regulations and praying continually. Mothers protect your children and fathers behave yourselves.

The power of spoken word; I can’t do it. My leg is killing me. This is difficult. I’m never gonna get through this. I’m starving. This is going to be a deadly day. Are these phrases that you find yourself saying on a daily basis? Some do seem harmless, but there is power behind our spoken words. Avoid negative confessions throughout this season and for you entire life perhaps. They hold water and if you are going to win, you need to confess positively on a daily .

Refrain and report any form of Gender based violence and don’tsuffer in silence; Let there be peace and harmony in homes. Refrain from the vices of domestic violence and gender based violence, rape, defilement and early child marriage. Lockdown doesn’t mean we lose our morals or ourselves. Seek reason and knowledge, don’t just follow or drink everything you hear, rumours are real and fake news exist much these days. Seek authenticity of every news you get about COVID-19 especially if you don’t know or don’t trust the source of the information. Knowledge is power. Seek help where need be. SYRADO Uganda offices will be open for counselling and guidance.

Lastly,
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love, 1 John 4 18, NLT

Proverbs 1:5
A wise man will hear and increase in learning,
And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus; Philippians 4:7

Dear Jesus,

Help me to monitor the words I confess, I am aware that my confession is my possession and my confession can change my situation. So I confess…

I am the head and not the tail, (Deut 28:1)

I am strong and not weak, (2 Corin 12:10)

I am whole in spirit, soul and body, (1 Thess 5:23)

I am free of all diseases, (Isaiah 53:5)

I shall never suffer, (Psalm 55:22)

I shall never lack, (Psalms 34:10)

I am more than a conqueror, (Romans 8:37)

I am blessed when I go in and when I go out, (Deut 28:6)

No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper, (Isaiah 54:17)

As  I have confessed I shall possess as well In Jesus Name, Amen.

Rossette Kyakyo

My name is Rossette Kyakyo, a founder of a youth and women led NGO and Team Leader for Slum youth Rehabilitation and Development Organization (SYRADO). I have a postgraduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation from Uganda Management Institute, a degree in social sciences from Makerere university majoring in social worker and social administration, a diploma in social media marketing from SHAW Academy a diploma in Guidance and Counselling from YMCA, certificate in Home and community HIV/AIDS care and a certificate in Digital marketing which all have provided me with skills to become a champion and activist for adolescent girls and young women who are marginalized in the slums of Kampala Uganda. I have experience in youth advocacy and social enterprise where I continued to learn a lot and research on how to effectively empower the youth, women and teenage girls who are marginalized like the poor, sex workers, those living with HIV, refugees and drug addicts living in the slums in Uganda. I have so far trained over 400 young people with entrepreneurship skills 100 of whom are now business owners. Recycling Trash into treasure has created businesses for the HIV+ teenage girls living in Slums through Briquette making, decorative bottle making, straw doormat making, paper beads making among others which deals directly with environment protection and climate change mitigation.
