THE ORACLES OF GOD

THE ORACLES OF GOD

Last night was not like any other night for me, as I slept I heard the words “Oracles of God ” while in a dream rescuing two babies that were kidnapped, interesting stuff I know, as I was returning from the successful mission I saw a building which was written on “the oracles of God church” and the words were vividly written which made me remember what I had been hearing all along and I almost went there but I said to myself, no, I can’t because that’s not my church and I continued to look for my church. But as I prayed in the morning the word came back strongly on my mind and I decided to research further about it and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to me the mystery that is “the oracles of God ” and this is what I got, as usual, I always write my revelations to help others who need them like I do.

Romans 3: 2
Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God. When you read this scripture, what does it clearly tell you? I am leaving it to you right now to think about it carefully and ask the Holy Spirit for interpretation. Pause for a moment and think about it.

From a Christian website found these amazing revelations “Zodhiates, in his Word Study, notes, states that this expression, “oracles,” is in Greek, ta logia, meaning “the declaration of God.” He goes on to say that it “denotes . . . the historical manifestations of the Word of God.” Unto the Jews, God committed the awesome responsibility of recording His Word, history given from the very voice of God. One person has written concerning this term, “divinely inspired utterances.”

In Hebrews 5:12, the author rebuked the Hebrew Christians who had still not learned what they should have and he said; “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.” (Hebrews 5:12 – NASB)

The apostle Peter urged the ones he wrote to . . . “Whoever speaks, let him speak as it were the utterances of God” (I Peter 4:11 – NASB . . . note: The word “utterances” here is the same word translated “oracles” in our initial text.)
Peter was saying that anyone who speaks for the Lord needs to “speak as it were the (oracles) of God,” needs to faithfully proclaim what the Word of God says.
The great Christian martyr Stephen called these “utterances of God”..“… .living oracles” (Acts 7:38 – NASB)

So the conclusion from all this is that the Holy Scriptures make up the very “utterances” of the living God. Old and New Testaments, holy words were given to and through believing Jews and the early disciples of Christ, preserved for us in our Bible“.

So this clearly means that the dream I had last night was not about the Lord speaking to me about his word. It is good to read the word of God and internalizing it. Not reading the Bible as one that reads a novel but as one reads a love letter or text from a loved one. How every word means something to you and you want to read it and read it again.

The Oracles of God were all put together in the BIBLE, ho often do you read it? How often do you meditate upon His word? How many bible verses are on fingertips that can pop up anytime you need them?

My lesson is that I can’t claim to love God and want Him to take control of my life if I don’t fully understand Him and the only way to get His promises and know Him is through His Oracles or love letters that are in the Holy Bible.

As usual, you are free to leave a comment in the comment section.
