The truth is that the gift of a child is the height of joy. Jesus came as God’s unspeakable gift to a sinful world, “He gave his only begotten son” John: 3:16. God is the source of life. In him is life: and the life was the light of man. “I am the life……. John 1:4, 14:6. Although male and female are able, through natural processes to fashion the body of a child, are they able to transmit life? Zeceriah 12:1 ………. He formeth the Spirit of man within him; it is our firm conviction that man has never created it. This is prerogative alone.
The secret of the structure of “the chemical of life” – DNA is only what God planned for husband and wife to give the child his/her identity.
As every child comes into the world full of promise, the parents of the child are thrice blessed if God knows that they will command their off springs aright and constantly strive to keep them in the way of the Lord. Gen.17:15-19; 18:10, 19.
By creation all children are God’s seeing that He was the One who had designed family life in a past eternity and in the Garden began the unending entrance of children into the word he created for them.
Dedicatory services for infants in the house of God are a recognition of God’s proprietorship.
Conception, the nine months, delivery and child raising is by God’s favor I may say parents are “endured with grace” Mary had, “found favor with God” (Lk: 1:30, and was now to be favored by him. In the course of time, the Holy child whom Mary was privileged by God to bear, was to increase “in favor with God and man”) Luke 2:52. Pray for unborn and already born children to gain favor before men and God. Many saintly mothers magnified God for his grace and favor in the children born to them. He {God} hath blessed thy children with in thee (Ps: 147:13) Let all parents look at their infants coming to grace their homes as a divine favor!
