MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT OF UGANDA ARE INSENSITIVE TO ALLOATE 10 BILLION FOR THEMSELVES FOR COVID-19.

Ugandans are very right to be angry at the members of parliament who saw it fit to allocate themselves 20 million each for COVID-19 when most of the Ugandans are dying of hunger and with a lot of bills to pay which they can not afford since we are in the lockdown and they are not working.

The honorable speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga.

What happened to “Buntu Bulamu”? Our Motto says for GOD AND MY COUNTRY which every members swears to when they are swearing in to serve tne people who voted for them and their country. Do these words mean anything to them? Why is it that these words are not lived upto to expections of the voters? This selfishness is getting noticed by everybody in Uganda.

The children have nothing to eat because their parents are jobles.

To think that next year is elections and these same members of parliament will go back to the same people whom they are not helping when they need them the most, seekiing for votes. I think people seriosly have guts, how shameless can one be to simply ignore the needs of the people that brought them to power. I feel that these members of parliament who take this money for themselves should not be voted again into power because clearly, there are out there to serve themselves and not people.

Kalerwe market before the pandemic which is now clossed and all these traders who are mostly women have where to trade from whicch renders them Jobless hence unable to prived for their families.

Every one knows that that each member of parliament receives 25 million as salary every month excluding other benefits. This is enough money to keep their household well catered for and help the needy in their communities. This is the most trying time for every Ugandan citizeen especially those who survive on 2 dollars perday through their day to day businesses which they can not do now because of the quarantine. These people need food for themselves and their children, the have bills to pay like rent among others.

The boda boda riders are now unemployed and yet they have families to feed.

Instead of allocating for themselves the 10 billion, these members of parliament should add part of their sallaries to help the needy people who are dying of hunger and lots bills on their neck in their constituency. We need to care about others especially those that take us to power.

All these youths are unemployed and have nothing to do, they need help and not harassment.

These people may seem less important to the members of parliament right now but they are the voters. I urgue members of parliament to consider their voters who need help right now because of this pandemic. Don’t be heartless and consider the needy people in your communities.

Ugandans deserve better
