The journey to self-discovery is not a one day thing but a process. You cannot find what you are meant to do in one day but all I can tell you now is to trust the process. Nothing is never easy, and if it is easy then, it is not worth it. Imagine you found a beautiful girl you liked, she has the eyes of light and a face of an angel with the kindness which only God can provide. She is everyone’s dream! You look for ways to approach her and you are all sweating but on reaching towards her she tells you she loves and she wants to marry you before you could even say a word. You will lose all the respect you had for her and if you are sober enough you will abandon the mission because she has come to you so easy, you didn’t even get to launch your manifesto, did not use your plan A or plan B in case she refused. You will think about the courage and all the preparation you have to go through to that day, and yet she made things to simple. You will not value her the same way you would have if she gave you a run for your money. If she had made herself unavailable, made you think for ways to get her, and you had to use all the tricks you had in store to get her. You will have the the joy and the pride when you eventually conquer her heart. Good things come to those who wait and are persistent. You need to trust the process and not try to jump or escape it.
After finding out what makes you, you. What next? You have known now your strength and your weaknesses. What makes you unique from everybody? This will help you change the narrative of what you always viewed as important. What makes you really happy when you do it? No, what brings you joy and peace of mind whenever you think or do it? So many people die before they are truly happy, they live to survive and not find happiness. You will never be truly happy until you find your purpose. Your purpose keeps you awake at night, it gets you out of bed in the morning. It drives your movements and the directions you take in life. It puts a smile on your face even when things are not moving the way the should be moving. Just knowing your moving in the right direction gives you that inner joy that only a few have in this world. Purpose gives you clear decision and objectives life.
I am not saying that it is easy, no, no way it is never easy. It is so hard to you will need to seek the knowledge of God and the guidance of a mentor who will take you in the right direction and give you the counselling that is required to reach your destination. Every person has been put here on earth for a purpose with a clear destiny and until you find that you wont really understand how the whole thing works. You will toil in life without getting results and stay stagnant until you die without tasting what success looks like because you keep moving in the wrong direction. The good news is that anyone can know their purpose if they strive to find it. Another good news is that, no matter how had your purpose maybe you will always find way because it brings joy and happiness to you.
