FIGHT THE FEAR OF CORONAVIRUS SPIRITUALLY

One person wrote and said, “10,000 people will die from coronavirus and 50,000 will die from the fear of coronavirus”. Isn’t this so alarming!!!. Fear is the greatest emotion that many people don’t realize they have until it is too late. It can eat you up and make you lose yourself in the process because the spirit of fear dominates your thoughts and influences your actions. As Christians, we live by FAITH and not by fear

CoronaVirus is real and it should be fought since it has brought the entire world to a standstill. Businessmen have lost plenty of billions of money, sports activities and other public gatherings have been halted. Flights have been canceled and people’s movement restricted. It is an epidemic as it was declared recently by the World Health Organisation (WHO). This doesn’t mean that I want you not to be cautious and follow the health precautions that have been aligned like sanitizations, washing of hands and wearing masks. Please keep all these guidelines carefully. What I am saying here is that don’t let the fear of CoronaVirus take over you but instead, have faith in the Lord. Fight CoronaVirus Spiritually.

1. take refuge in the lord:
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound min.

I know in this situation your best reaction would be to fear but the bible says don’t fear for I am with you. As someone who knows that you have not been given the spirit of fear but of courage, I want you to take your position spiritually and be the light where there is darkness. It is a must to that you become courageous amidst the storm of Coronavirus

2. Fast and Pray

JOEL 2:12. Therefore also now, saith the Lord,
turn ye even to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.

This is the perfect time to go and fall down at the feet of God and ask him for mercy and tell Him that, He is the only one that can save us. Despite our shame and iniquities, He is always faithful, merciful and righteous. He loves us so dearly and He is our Jehovah Rapha. He alone will keep us safe and free from CoronaVirus.

3. Remain in Psalm 91.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” … “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

Move under the covering of the Almighty, stay in His presence and Love Him. Make sure that as you pray and fast, you are using the scriptures, remaining God of his promises. You can not protect yourself because unless the Lord protects the city, the watchmen will watch in vain.

4. Cover Yourself Under the blood of Jesus

“…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sin, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” (I Peter 2:24)

The blood Jesus washes us as white as snow and it cleanses us. You need to cover your family friends and the entire world under the blood of Jesus. This blood protects us and keeps us healthy. The bible says by His stripes we are healed.

5. Take Caution

As  I end this blog, I have to tell you that you should take caution, we are all going to die someday, and my question is, Do you know where you are going after you die? Are you born again? People lets learn to forgive one another, love selflessly and instead of fearing the CoronaVirus, fear the Lord and work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

Proverbs 3: 5-6: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

I leave you with John 14:27 (NIV), Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. I hope this helps you to overcome the CoronaVirus fear Spiritually.
