Don’t worry and don’t be afraid for the lord is with you
MATT 14:22-32
Jesus Walks on the Water
ide, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainsi22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
This the sea of Galilee and it has good water but the nearest is the dead sea which has salty water and it is really bad water.
Jesus commanded his disciples to crossover and go as he had man things to do. As you read up there you find that this where he fed the 5000 people.
Jesus told his disciples to go but where they were going wasn’t easy as they had to crossover in a boat. When you are sailing on the sea without wind, it is really nice but when there is wind, the situation is not pretty just like when you are in plane and it is windy, you regret why you boarded.
The bible says that they were in the middle of the sea and the wind came from where they were going. We give God glory
There is time when our lives are like being in the boat and the storm hits you from in front and behind but don’t lose hope because the lord is with you.
I want to encourage you that the Lord is with you, don’t be afraid and give up.
Sometimes you even start fearing where you passed during the day. Fear fills your life even when you are a preacher, you know the word, you always pray. Fear doesn’t know anyone. Fear is the worst thing on earth. Because it weakens our faith.
The thing you have to chase away when it has attacked you, is fear and worry. They make you to things where are not there as if they are there. They make you not go forward. It is only God who can work on your situation.
Peace comes into your heart when you trust in God. He only and nothing else can take away the fear.
Even in the worrying situations God is with us. He can never leave us or abandon us.
Isaiah 49:13-16
The mother can forget the nursing child but God cannot forget you. If you want to be encouraged and win battles, read the word of God and make it your own. Put the word in the situation of your own, encourage yourself in the word.
1 kings 19: 1-10
In Israel then Jezebel prophets up to 150 were killed and Ahab told her what happened and she told the messenger to tell Elijah that since he killed her prophets he then shall be beheaded by tomorrow morning.
Fear is so bad, see how it made Elijah flee yet he has been with God and he knew how mighty God is. Just words made him flee. Be careful of the words you listen to, every word that brings bad news cancel them, at your job your relatives and others because they bring doubt in your life.
Phil 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
When we take our situations in prayer, our fears go away and the worries reduce because God gives us peace.
